Product overview
Actara is an advanced insecticide developed by Syngenta, based on the innovative Soliar technology - a new biorational protein. It features three unique and complementary characteristics: water solubility, plant systemic action, and soil absorption and adhesion. Actara is used to control most soil and foliar insects, providing comprehensive protection throughout the growing season.
Actara demonstrates high efficacy against a wide range of pests, including aphids, whiteflies, thrips, leafhoppers, Colorado potato beetles, white grubs, and numerous other insects. It can be applied to a diverse array of crops such as vegetables, fruit trees, field crops, annual and perennial crops, and tropical plants.
When applied to the soil, Actara is easily absorbed through the roots of growing or transplanted seedlings and rapidly translocates throughout the plant, offering genuine and complete protection for new growth. When used on foliage, its Trans-Stemic systemic movement allows for quick penetration into leaf tissue at very high rates, resulting in rapid plant protection.
Actara boasts several advantages, including a broad spectrum of activity, systemic action, long-lasting effectiveness, knock-down effect, and fast penetration and translocation within the plant. These characteristics lead to tangible benefits for farmers, such as healthy and abundant yields, protection of new growth, fewer applications and lower costs, assured and quick results, and environmental protection.
Considered an effective and integrated solution for pest control in over 120 crops, Actara is an ideal choice for farmers seeking to protect their crops efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner. Its versatility and high performance make it a valuable tool in modern agricultural pest management strategies.
