Proclaim is a powerful insecticide against caterpillars in vegetable crops, developed by Syngenta. It contains the active ingredient emamectin benzoate. Proclaim's unique mode of action, with its distinguished physio-chemical properties, gives the insecticide the power to eliminate a wide spectrum of caterpillars (including cutworms and Plutella xylostella) especially resistant ones, with fewer applications. The insecticide also has a side effect on mites, leaf miners, and thrips.

It positively affects treated larvae through ingestion, in addition to its contact effect. It is characterized by its effectiveness and potency in killing larvae forming inside eggs before and during the hatching process. Proclaim is rapidly absorbed and distributed within the leaf due to its penetrative property, ensuring complete distribution within the sprayed leaf. This provides the insecticide with a longer residual period and protection inside the plant, and prevents loss through rain or spray irrigation.
