Amistar Xtra

Amistar Extra is a systemic fungicide that combats numerous fungi attacking wheat and barley crops. It can be used preventively or curatively at the first signs of infection.

Why is Amistar Extra used?

• It is used for wheat and barley crops to control leaf spots, rusts, powdery mildew, and leaf striping. 
• It prolongs the greening period, thereby increasing the duration of photosynthesis. This increase in photosynthesis ensures good grain filling, known as the "greening effect".
• Amistar Extra moves through the plant via the vascular system, providing gradual absorption by the leaves to ensure superior and longer-lasting protection.
• The appropriate and gradual distribution within the plant means protection for new growth and a larger quantity of higher quality crop for better marketing.

When is it used (preventive, curative)?

• Amistar Extra works systemically and contains two active ingredients (azoxystrobin and cyproconazole), giving it high efficacy with both preventive and curative effects for optimal crop protection.
• Azoxystrobin: An active ingredient from the strobilurin family with translaminar activity. It affects mitochondria by stopping the respiration of disease-causing fungi.
• Cyproconazole: An active ingredient from the triazole family with systemic effects. It works by inhibiting sterol biosynthesis in disease-causing fungi, leading to the destruction of fungal cell walls and having a prolonged effect that prevents the formation of germ tubes and fungal hyphae.
