Match

Match is considered one of Syngenta's modern pesticides and a new element in controlling insect larvae (worms), particularly from the order Lepidoptera, which feed on leaves and fruits. It contains 50 g/L of the active ingredient lufenuron.

It is a molting inhibitor (Insect Growth Regulator - IGR) that eliminates worms and prevents their molting and development from one stage to another.

It works through ingestion, thus not affecting adult insects (butterflies) but impacts eggs, rendering them either sterile or producing weak larvae unable to hatch.

How Match Works:

1. It stops the growth of insect larvae and prevents them from molting as they transition from one stage to another.
2. It eliminates harmful insect larvae by inhibiting chitin formation during molting, leading to their death and halting the development of future generations.
3. It prevents the hatching of newly laid eggs, and in cases where hatching occurs, it results in deformed larvae incapable of causing damage to plants.
